Fire is an element of damage. Your character and enemies are resistant to fire related to the stat FireDef.

Fire damage has a short damage over time effect. Any fire damage deals 25% upfront and 75% of its damage over the following 1.0 second.

Pitchfire, Imperial Pitchfire and Impen's Charm are items that can help you to make fire damage with melee weapons.

Blacksmith's Gloves, Blacksmith's Apron, Blacksmith's Boots are an armor that is greatly resistant to fire damage. And Phoenix Rondache is a good shield for blocking fire attack.

Impen Crest Ring is a ring that give you FireDef.
