Armor in Salt and Sanctuary protects the player from damage and dictates appearance. Armor that provides more protection has more Weight and a player can only carry so much. There are 4 Armor types - Helms, Chests, Gloves and Boots. Each of these types are further divided into Classes (0-5) of either Light Armor or Heavy Armor.
To equip that armor, you must have that Class of armor unlocked in your Skill Tree. Armors usually come in sets with pieces that match cosmetically, but not always.
- Armor Formula: Armor/(Armor+200)

I wish there were vanity armor slot. If you don't already know, vanity armor slots allow you to put armor in a slot for cosmetic only. No weight, stats, flags, or special abilities would apply. Wouldn't that be cool? Personally, what armor set/combo would be coolest for you to add?

What is a good armor set for mages? I currently have the White armor set. I like the stats, but I want more mobility. Thanks! :)

Titan's set is the S&S equivalent of Havel's set; heaviest and provides the best overall protection and poise/balance. All 4 pieces maxed out + Dancing and Defender's rings equate to above 50% elemental resistances, 62.3% strike and 68.7% slash defense, and an absurd 228.5 balance. OP as hell late game.

I find it weird the game won't include Light Armor for the Mage class, meaning I have to invest out of the Mage class in order to equip LV1 or more advanced Light Armor. Why is that?

ATTENTION ADMINS!
If now we somehow could have a section where we can see all of the sets one at a time or lined up as done with the weapons, it could be nice.

Steel set is really great bang for the buck armor per endurance req until you can carry the really heavy stuff. upgrade dat*****

What exactly happens if you equip an armor with less than the required armor level(For example having level 1 light armor while equipping the Queen of Smiles set)?

At 200 defense points, damage is halved. At 400 defense points it is reduced by two-thirds.At 600 it is reduced by 75%.At 800 it is reduced by 80%.At 1000 it is reduced by 83,34%.To reach 90% reduction, you would need 1800 points of defense.Just some numbers so we all have a vague understanding of what our armour points mean.

I notice the path to light armor consist mainly of dex nodes and the heavy armor path consist more of strength nodes. So if I want to play strength weapon wearing light armor, I'll be forced to waste point on those dex nodes in which I don't need and vice versa for heavy armor & dex weapon
The balance stat on heavy armor gets a hidden increase everytime you upgrade the piece of equipment, resulting in a higher balance than the item states.

Did anyone ever tried to have all the endurance slots in the skill tree to see if it enables normal roll with the heaviest armor in the game? Because I find some armor are ridiculously heavy to be worn at all.
