Swords in Salt and Sanctuary are one of the many Weapon types a player can choose from. These weapons can be wielded in one-hand, freeing up the other one for a shield. They are typically fast and lightweight.

oh my friggin god.. i thought swords were STR weapons.. i consistently removed all my dex gains to get str gains and only now i find out that i needed dex.. this game makes no sense....

A great sideweapon for Greathammer-Strength builds as a fast Slashdamage and Stunlock source. Actually the strength equivalent of the Tachi.

Why does the skill tree attribute "Swordfighter" gives only strength when only one sword (that doesn't require any level of it) has decent scaling in strength? many swords that litarally has no scaling in str requires quite a high level of this attribute.In the end, the Corsair's Backsword (thanks to its fast att speed) end up being the only sword worth getting in this category (for pure str build), because i can just swap to a greatsword when i need reach and raw damage.I hope it gets fixed.

Swords skill tree gives strength points but most swords (except greatswords) scale with dex... really wtf lol
I think I have discovered a new sword combo:
Light => Heavy => Light + Light + Light
This one will cause your screen to zoom in a little bit, and this combo will let you do an aerial execution on your foe ;-)
