Wraithfang

A chiseled stone throwing blade coated in potent Pessmud, it is a signature weapon of Woodswraiths.

Wraithfang is a Consumable item in Salt and Sanctuary.

Wraithfang Effect

  • Cause a lot of poison damage, about nine times as much as Forestfang.

Where to Find Wraithfang

  • x25 can be obtained as a reward on the Stone Roots covenant leaders per rank. These re-stock after resting on any sanctuary that belongs to the Stone Roots covenant.

Notes

  • Stacks poison very quickly, and are replenishable as long as you rest in a sanctuary of the creed.
  • Best used for killing enemies not immune to poison that are hard to kill. Find a relatively safe place, aim well and throw away. Once the poison kicks in, keep throwing some more and they'll be dead in a matter of seconds.

Trivia

  • Base damage is 4 Slashing, 8 Poison.
  • Has insane dexterity scaling on the poison damage:  Damage * (1 + Dex * 5%) ^2
  • At 50 Dexterity it has about 98 poison damage and 14 slash damage.

Funnily enough, equipping Vile Charm to your main weapon when using these knives seems to improve their poison potency as well. I went from needing 4 knives to poison an Armour Mite to 3 with the charm on

Does the scaling diminish past 50? If my calcs are correct, at 200 dex Wraithfang should be doing 968 poison damage.

            • potato only... grenado only... Now its time for a much easier and chill run - wraithfang only! I wonder if its possible to do all bosses this way : O we'll see!

You can choose to get 25 Wraithfangs every time you rest at a Stone Roots Sanctuary. They're a reward for turning remains in with a leader. They apply, what I believe to be, the most powerful poison available in the game. They're extremely useful for taking down Crypt Keepers.
