 Tainted Greatshield is a Shield in Salt and Sanctuary.

 

 

A menacing horned shield composed entirely of an unidentifiable light-silver metal. It emanates a sickening aura of unbridled malevolence and was presumably woven with the same abhorrent arts as the Aklymancery Knight that once carried it. Although this shield's twisted energy is corrosive to the bodies and souls of saltborn, one with the strength to resist its caustic effects will find it to be an exceptionally powerful - if unlikely - ally.

 

Notes and Tips:

  • While you are Corrupted, your life depletes at 2/sec.
  • While you are Corrupted, you heal for 10% of enemy Physical damage on block.
  • It weighs only 6 points less than the Iron Rampart, which has vastly better resistances and is a Class 4 shield. If you can spare the extra weight of the Iron Rampart, then the Tainted Greatshield is an objectively worse choice.
