Stone Cleaver in Salt and Sanctuary is a Axe type weapon.

A massive cleaver knapped from a solid slab of flint. Judging by the sophisticated abrading techniques apparently used to achieve its astonishingly keen edge, the Cave Keepers who wield these weapons are far more intelligent than their beastly countenances might suggest.

Notes and Tips:

  • At 50 Strength this weapon has an Attack of 92.1 at tier VII.
  • Two-handing a weapon increases Strength by 50% for damage scaling, meaning you only need 34 Strength to reach the 50 Strength soft cap when two-handing a weapon.

Weapon beats the acts of splendor the red guillotine with this weapon I made a butcher build and each time I killed an enemy I would tell to myself saying honey I cut the turkey come get the kids down for dinner

An alignment of qualities means that, outside of certain specific circumstances, this is the best axe in the game. Second highest base damage when maxed among the axes (highest among axes without slow hitter), making it ideal for buffing, and third highest total damage at 50 str and dex among axes without slow hitter. But where it really shines are its flags. Because axes share their skill path with the generally more powerful hammers, their main draw is access to slash damage without having to level another skill path. The extra blades flag on this means it deals noticeably more damage to enemies resistant to strike compared to other axes and hammers, making it a good second setup for a hammer build. It also carries the poise damage flag without slow hitter, which means it can stagger and stunlock many enemies and bosses, allowing you to keep swinging when another weapon would have to dodge away. Overall, a solid weapon, and quite worthy of consideration for any axe build not focusing on poison or magic.

Very good weapon overall. Contrary to most other Poise flag weapons it isn't a Slow Hitter, in fact it's pretty fast and can stagger many enemies/bosses if you spam the light attack (i'm using the stone charm on it for extra poise damage but i don't know if it stacks, i need to do some tests). Lastly it has the Extra Blade spacial, meaning that it will do mostly Slash Damage, therefore it's best used in conjuction with Hammers/Greathammers or weapons having the Extra Blunt flag.

Beats red guillotine and axe of splendor at str cap and no dex investment against low slash resist enemies.
