Martial Flail in Salt and Sanctuary is a Whip type weapon.
A makeshift flail improvised from a heavy iron chain. While arguably better-suited for battle than their leather counterparts, implements of this sort are rarely seen in the hands of professional soldiers due to their lack of practical value in all-out combat. They are entirely adequate for the purposes of petty criminals, however, and are commonly carried by street thugs more as tools of intimidation than as functional weapons.
Notes and Tips:
- At 50 Strength and 50 Dexterity this weapon has an Attack of 73.6 at tier VII.
- Two-handing a weapon increases Strength by 50% for damage scaling, meaning you only need 34 Strength to reach the 50 Strength soft cap when two-handing a weapon.
Location/Where to Find
- Found in a pouch in a pit left of The Far Beach sanctuary. Be careful, Drowned Porcelain will spawn as soon as you drop down into the pit.
- Can be acquired by Transmuting any Whip with Rotten Walker's Ear, a Silver Leaf and 1,500 Salt.

On a pure Dexterity build, this is straight up worse than the Bullwhip. Assuming you have 50 points in Dexterity, you need 41 points in Strength to reach the attack power of the Bullwhip. It's also 50% heavier. So if for some reason you don't want to use the Steel Centipede, definitely don't use this. Why is it even in the game, I wonder.
Can someone explain why they hear Castlevania music
