Iron Rampart is a Shield in Salt and Sanctuary.
A gargantuan tower shield crafted from thick plates of reinforced iron. Although this prototype was originally commissioned for King Jaret's royal guards, not a single one managed to lift it and the production model was ultimately redesigned to take advantage of the Armor Guardians' near-limitless strength. It offers unrivaled protection from virtually any attack at the cost of being nigh-on impossible to wield.
Notes and Tips:
- At maximum Level the Iron Rampart has 100% damage reduction against everything and a stagger reduction of 96.4%
- Fast rolling requires your carrying capacity to be at least 4x higher than your total weight. If you want to fast roll with this shield, you have to have a minimum capacity of 144, and you won't be able to use any weapon or armor. You'll also be unkillable, so there's that.
- This shield does not offer perfect invincibility. Even when it's upgraded to have full immunity to all damage, it does not protect against grabs or tackles.
- Shields are weightless when you're not holding them. This means that you can one-hand a sword and this shield for one equipment slot, and switch to something lighter when you need to fast roll. As long as your armor is light enough to enable fast rolling without the shield, you can retain all your mobility when you're not in battle, and then bring out the shield when you need something to hide behind.

Unstoppable force meets immovable object, and you get to be the immovable object. By far my favorite shield.

WHEN YOU COME TO IT AND YOU CAN'T GO THROUGH IT AND YOU CAN'T KNOCK IT DOWN, YOU KNOW THAT YOU'VE FOUND:

and there i thought the tower 46 shield was the best shield in the game.

Personally in line the ashen iffigy better only because it damages the enemies who attack it. Though, I might prefer this now over it as it's neigh unstoppable.
This shield is the most broken item in the entire game. It's weight is not an issue, you are invulnerable if you block except grabs but there is only one enemy in the game whose grab gives you no chance to dodge it, can one shot you or come close and only around 5-6 of them exist in the entire game in one location. No armor needed.
At any upgrade level it's stagger reduction pretty much allows you to block anything without lowering your guard ever even against ng+7. Only ''issue'' with this shield is you can't properly parry so if your weapon isn't long range like greathammers and spears or so you may not be able to counterattack that easily against hard to stagger enemies.
Only way this shield could possibly get balanced without lowering stats is maybe not being able to block while facing backwards but that's a game mechanic. I guess it is balanced around people being scared of it's 36 weight and class 4 shield requirement so that they can roll fast but it doesn't matter when you can go to 99.9% equip load and still have no issue.

You can also just use this shield in one loadout, with good armor, and a greathammer or something in the other loadout. Swap between the two and you're invincible with incredible damage.

Shield best used together with the armor that damages enemies that attack you just hold up your shield and watch as they kill themselves

Haha and they said fast roll was the best thing to keep me alive :DDDD

A lighter alternative to this beast of a shield is the 'Type 46 Tower Shield', which happen to be pretty decent without taking up all your endurance.

Absolutely zero reason to use any other shield. Made new game +7 a joke even.

Thought it was risky, but this makes so many bosses an absolute joke. Combine with anti-element rings like Impen and you're unstoppable!

good against everything (except dried king and the final boss). You can kill disembowelled husk without an effort. And it works well at level 4 (100% vs everything) and is dropped by armor guardian ... you can have it so ***** early in the game !It's the best shield in the game, period.

I can't believe I got it so late (NG++). I usually prefer to run naked with my sissors (don't judge), but this thing is just too good. Killing the lake slut was so ***** easy with it. This thing should be sold at every store with an annotation "Build the wall around yourself. Make the Sanctuary great again".
