So; discussion time. Consider the following - In the fight against the Sodden Knight, he uses a certain move that charges up lightning in his palms, for then to send it sweeping across the ground.
Now, we know that lightning attacks are classified under magic.
We also know that to use magic attacks, you need a catalyst (A wand or a staff).
My minor theory hereby states that the Doppelsoldner Gauntlets have a wand buildt inherently into their structure (not a staff, as that would two hands, and one of his arms clearly carry he Shrouded Bulwark).
If this is correct, I propose using the gauntlets should give you a minor buff in the magic stat, just like the Lamprey Gauntlets buffs fist damage.
