Venom Arbelos in Salt and Sanctuary is a Axe type weapon.

A makeshift weapon improvised by lashing a jagged iron blade to the split end of a fallen branch with sinew. While crudely constructed and primitive in its own right, it has been coated with highly-toxic Swampspider venom for which its unevenly-serrated edge serves as an ideal means of delivery.

Notes and Tips:

  • At 50 Dexterity this weapon has an Attack of 59.0/59.0 at tier VII.

    • This weapon is actually decent for a poison build at max scaling with an added poison buff and charm. You can pretty much poison on hit and stack them up really quickly. The real downside of this wpn is the STR stats needed to unlock going to waste since pretty much all poison wpns scale with DEX. But when ennemies are susceptible to poison this wpn is going to melt them.

Poison builds require you to adopt a very aggressive play-style. Otherwise, you won't get much bang for your buck. But if you lean more towards a passive play-style, this weapon was made for you. In that case, it will be just as effective as any other Poison weapon. Maybe even more if it is your jam.

It also has some pretty nasty and varied combos and is good at dealing with any situation. This is mostly due to the fact that it is an Axe, which is also its main con. You're going to waste at least 10 points in Strength that it won't benefit from.
It also requires Enduring Skulls to upgrade, which are a pain to acquire. I recommend fully upgrading another Axe and then transmuting it to avoid grinding. I also recommend equipping the Mossy Charm to make up for the Slow Hitter property. On the bright side, you won't get bored using it.
