Headtaker

Attack 32.0
Weight 20.0
Strength Scaling B
Class 2 Greataxe
Flags Poise
Special Slow Hitter

Headtaker in Salt and Sanctuary is a Greataxe type weapon.

A beastly two-handed cleaver wielded by the Kraekan Cyclops. Although crude and primitive at the first glance, even the minimal level of sophistication required to craft this monstrous weapon seems inconsistent with the outwardly brutish creature that carried it. Could it be that the Kraekan, long regarded as mere predator of the deep acting upon base instinct alone, are something else entirely...?

Notes and Tips:

  • At 50 STR this weapon will have an Attack of 166.0.
  • Two-handing a weapon increases Strength by 50% for damage scaling, meaning you only need 34 Strength to reach the 50 Strength soft cap when two-handing a weapon.
  • Really nice mid-game weapon.

i really wish it was actually a "Really nice mid-game weapon.", but the split damage ruins it! every boss is really damn resistant to one of the two damage types, so it makes it pretty not worth using. just go get Kureimoa instead, it's an op strength weapon that can last the whole playthrough and you don't have to go through all the transmutation bs. and here i was hoping this thing would perhaps be actually fun to use.

Considering that the Earthsplitter and Coveted outclass this in damage and scaling, while still having poise, the only real reason to even use this thing in the first place is for the lower weight, or as an in-between weapon.
